Sound Design
Sound design is about creating, transforming, placing sound effects and ambiences in a compelling way so it serves the purpose of a film or other visual media.
Realistic vs. Cinematic sound design
Cinematic sound design means "over-the-top". The sound effects and ambiances do not often reflect reality, but are meant to be epic and spectacular... (think Blockbuster trailer). This type of sound design works best for fantastic, action, horror and sci-fi movies. On the other end, realistic sound design is meant to reproduce the world of sounds as faithfully as possible. It usually doesn't attract attention and is best used for dramas, biopics, historical, documentaries and educational films.
⚠️ Because the job of a sound designer is different from that of a Foley artist, footsteps will not be covered for long sequences. Also, please remember that I have an hourly rate. Therefore consider sending only the locked cut (free of any timecode change).
