My name is Jonathan Galland, and I’m a French composer currently established

in San Francisco, California. My work for motion pictures (ranging from

feature-length documentary and fiction, to animated shorts and music

for advertisements) has received to this day over 70 international music awards

including "Critics Choice" awards, "Outstanding Achievement" awards, and

"Award of Excellence" accolades, as well as specialty awards such as

"Best Orchestration for an Animated Short", "Best Song Music Production",

"Best Trailer Arrangement", "Best Composer" and "Soundtrack of the Year".

Being Classically trained since the age of six as a violinist and through

music conservatory, I progressively developed a passion for writing music

to motion pictures. After graduating from a music high school in Paris, I

completed my academic journey with an MFA (initially BFA) in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media, with an emphasis on Film Scoring from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. I am presently an affiliate to SOCAN, as well as a member of "The Recording Academy" (hosts of the Grammy Awards) and an approved submitter to the Academy Awards (Oscars). I was also recently honored to have served as a music judge for the prestigious JUNO Awards, in Canada.

As a musical storyteller, I now delight myself in helping many filmmakers bring their vision to life through the power of sound.
