My name is Jonathan Galland and I am a French music composer, currently

established in San Francisco, California. My work for motion pictures has

received over seventy international music awards in more than 20 countries

and has been featured on internet radios, trade publications, and various film

music blogs.

Classically trained from a young age as a violinist and through the French

music schools, I later found my true calling in the field of composition for

motion pictures. I earned both a BFA and MFA in Music Production and

Sound Design for Visual Media, with an emphasis on Film Scoring at the

Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

I am presently a member of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and am approved to submit work for Academy Award consideration in the “Best Original Score” category. I am also a voting member on the panel of the 2021 World Soundtrack Awards in Belgium, and have also been a member of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, where I have served numerous times as a judge at the prestigious JUNO Awards.

As a musical storyteller, I now delight myself in helping many filmmakers bring their vision to life through the power of sound.
